Warner Bros. Studio Store Galleries are pleased to announce this month the release of "L'Amour Magnifique,"
the latest "2-1/2-dimensional" wall sculpture edition by the talented sculptor Mark Beam.
Southern California-based Mark Beam has produced a vast body of work with levity as the unifying theme.
"I always create art that is based in humor," Mr. Beam says.
"I think laughing is a thing of value.
You can never do it too much."
His highly original sculptures have been recognized by The New York Times, Better Homes & Gardens, and Los Angeles Times Magazine.
He has participated in group and solo shows spanning from Southern California to Osaka,
Japan, and his work is represented in the private collections of Peter Gabriel, Penny Marshall, and the late Frank Zappa,
as well as NBC Television, Turner Broadcasting, and the permanent collection of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
Mr. Beam's first commission for Warner Bros. Studio Store Galleries, entitled, "Sir Bugs," sold out upon release in December, 1995.
Now comes "L'Amour Magnifique," a tribute to the intractable lover Pepe Le Pew and his ever-reticent objet d'affection, Penelope.

L'Amour Magnifique
Created with impeccable attention to detail in Mr. Beam's signature "2-1/2-dimensional" style, this piece features Pepe attempting to pitch some woo with the aid of a rose clasped cavalierly in his teeth.
Penelope, perfectly accessorized with a splendid purple bow, demurely retreats from his advances in her characteristic style.
This humorous look into the lives of two favorite Looney Tunes characters was produced exclusively for Warner Bros. Studio Store Galleries in an edition of 50 pieces and comes complete with a custom-fitted gilt frame, $2500.
